FAMILIES ARE LIKE FUDGE. MOSTLY SWEET, BUT WITH A FEW NUTS.
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Yippee, What A Ride!"
My direct line is Moore. Unfortunately, I've been able to find virtually no information because they came from Ireland and did not want to admit they were Irish. From the information I have been able to find, they gave their place of birth as Pennsylvania or Missouri. Family members who did have direct knowledge passed away before my journey of research began.
My McClain line was Choctaw. Therefore, unless I am
able to find someone who has been able to keep accurate records on the family, my knowledge of them is regretably short.
Dortha Mae Hall recently gave me several family photos from my Essman line. Her generosity has affected many people by being able to view these precious momentos. The most amazing thing about these photos is that they survived the tornado that leveled most of Howe, Oklahoma in, I think it was 1962.
As with all genealogies, this is an ongoing project. I'd appreciate any information you may have regarding these families.
If I have incorrect information, please contact me so I can make corrections.
My most profound thanks to the people who have shared photos and information with me. The list of people has gotten much too long to list all of the names now. My heartfelt thanks to all of you.
